The Waterfront will be a kaleidoscope of color and movement all summer long. “Los Trompos” (Spinning Tops) is a playful and colorful art installation that guests can take a spin on. It consists of 20, three-dimensional larger-than-life structures inspired by the internationally known spinning top toy.

If you’ve ever wondered about the fish in our tanks or the sea turtle patients in our yard, this is the tour for you! Lasting one hour, an education docent will take you through our exhibit hall and turtle yard and answer all your burning questions. Registration takes place in the gift shop on the day of the tour.

3:30pm – Jr. Vet Kid’s Lab at Loggerhead
The program features “Dr. Logger,” a trained Loggerhead Marinelife Center volunteer acting as the center’s veterinarian. The 30 minute program begins when Dr. Logger receives a role-played call on the radio from the beach about a sick and injured sea turtle, igniting immediate excitement in participants. The children come to the aid of a green sea turtle replica and Dr. Logger teaches the group about common injuries and illnesses that affect these endangered animals.
